Apply for a Merchant Account Now - There is NO Application Fee to apply for a Merchant Account.
1. The Merchant (you) uses the GroundsKeeper Pro landscape maintenance software to charge a customer's credit or debit card. The transaction data is sent to the Card Processing Network for Authorization.
2. The Processing Network takes the Authorization request & matches it with a database maintained by the bank that issued the credit card. If there is enough credit available, the transaction is approved (authorized) & the necessary funds are held in reserve. This reduces the card's available credit by the transaction amount. The request is declined if there is a problem with the card or there are not enough funds available. Even if the request is approved, no money changes hands at this point. The Processing Network sends back the Authorization Response Code which is either Approved or Declined.
3. Approved Transactions are written within GroundsKeeper Pro to an Easy Pay Open Batch file. These transactions remain in the file until settlement is performed. Approved Authorized transactions that are batched and awaiting settlement may be viewed from within the Easy Pay Maintenance Screen of the GroundsKeeper Pro landscape maintenance software. A Batch will contain 1 or more transactions.
4. You must settle before the funds from approved transactions are deposited into your bank account. Settlement is typically performed at the End-of-Day. Settlement can be scheduled to run automatically at the same time everyday or done manually.
5. The money is deposited into your business bank account! The amount deposited into your bank account will be equal to the settlement total for the entire Batch of all transactions.
