REGISTRATION ERROR #7: REGISTRATION VALIDATION ERROR

Issue:

Access to some areas of the software are denied due to Registration Error #7: Registration Validation Error.

Possible Cause 1:

INSTALLING THE NEW VERSION OF THE SOFTWARE

The error is triggered because a NEW REGISTRATION NUMBER is needed to unlock the new version.

Solution 1: UPDATE ALREADY PURCHASED
If you have already purchased the update you simply need to enter the new version’s Registration Number you received when purchasing into the Order/Register screen. After verifying your data has been imported into the new version correctly you may uninstall the old version through the Windows START|CONTROL PANEL.

Solution 2: NEED TO PURCHASE UPDATE
If you haven’t purchased the update yet you will need to do so. When opening the new version for the first time the following message was displayed, ‘NOTE: By Importing your data you are agreeing to purchase the Update.’ Therefore, by importing your data you have committed to updating to the new version. After purchasing the update you will need to open the new version and enter the new version’s registration number. You do not need to reinstall the new version since it’s already installed and your data has already been imported. After verifying your data has been imported into the new version correctly you may uninstall the old version through the Windows START|CONTROL PANEL.

Possible Cause 2:

COMPANY ADDRESS AND/OR PHONE NUMBER CHANGE

The company address and/or company phone number have been changed from within the Company Maintenance screen of the software. Your Registration Number is based on your Company Address and Phone Number. Therefore, if either the Company Address and/or the Company Phone Number are changed in the COMPANY MAINTENANCE screen, a new Registration Number must be issued and entered into the ORDER/REGISTER screen before the software will be legally registered under the new information.

Solution: REQUEST A NEW REGISTRATION NUMBER
To request a new Registration Number, click on the link below. Print the form, follow the instructions and completely fill it out, then fax it to us with the required documents.

Request for New Registration Number – Company Address/Phone Number Change

Temporary Solution: After receiving the faxed form from you, if approved, it will take approximately 3 business days to receive your new registration number via email. If it’s necessary to get back into the software before receiving the new Registration Number, simply open the COMPANY MAINTENANCE screen and change your Address and Phone Number back to what it was.

Possible Cause 3:

RESTORING FROM AN OLD OR ARCHIVED BACKUP

It’s possible that your old or archived data that was restored has an old Registration Number that was valid at the time but has changed since due to a new version of the software or different company information.

Solution: MAKE SURE COMPANY INFO & REGISTRATION NUMBER ARE CORRECT FOR THE CURRENTLY INSTALLED VERSION OF THE SOFTWARE
First, check the COMPANY MAINTENANCE screen and make sure your address and phone numbers are correct. Correct them if necessary and ignore any new Registration Errors you may get. Next, open the ORDER/REGISTER screen and enter the Registration Number that is valid for the current address & phone number and the current version of the software.
